This zip file contains a library of Iray+ materials for use with the Iray for 3ds Max plugin.

To install the material library:

1. Extract the contents of the zip file to a location of your choice.

This will extract the material library (.mat) file and any textures required by its materials.

For example, extracting a zip file named "Library1.zip" to the folder "C:\Libraries" will
   add the following files:

      C:\Libraries\Library1.mat
      C:\Libraries\Iray+ Textures\Library1\Texture1.png
      C:\Libraries\Iray+ Textures\Library1\Texture2.png
      C:\Libraries\Iray+ Textures\Library1\Texture3.png
      etc...

This directory structure conveniently lets you store multiple Iray+ material libraries alongside one another.
For example, extracting a second zip file named "Library2.zip" to the same folder, "C:\Libraries", will
   result in the following structure:

      C:\Libraries\Library1.mat
      C:\Libraries\Library2.mat
      C:\Libraries\Iray+ Textures\Library1\Texture1.png
      C:\Libraries\Iray+ Textures\Library1\Texture2.png
      C:\Libraries\Iray+ Textures\Library1\Texture3.png
      etc...
      C:\Libraries\Iray+ Textures\Library2\Texture1.png
      C:\Libraries\Iray+ Textures\Library2\Texture2.png
      etc...

(If you choose this structure, then you may be prompted to merge the "Iray+ Textures" folder in the zip
file with the same-named folder already on disk. Choose "Yes".)

Alternatively, you may choose any directory structure that you prefer.

2. Launch 3ds Max.

3. From the menu bar, select Customize > Configure Project Paths...

4. On the Configure Project Paths dialog, select the External Files tab then click Add...

5. On the Choose New External Files Path dialog, navigate into the top=level folder that contains the
texture sub-folder(s); in the above example: "C:\Libraries\Iray+ Textures".

6. Tick the Add Subpaths checkbox then click the Use Path button.

7. On the Configure Project Paths dialog, click OK.

8. Open the 3ds Max Slate Material Editor, click the Material/Map Browser Options dropdown arrow at the
top of the Material/Map Browser and choose Open Material Library...

9. On the Import Material Library dialog, select the .mat file on disk, then click Open.
3ds Max reads the library from disk and displays its constituent materials in the Material/Map Browser.
